Documentary Chronicles

Early Years of Rodeo

Take a deep seat, hang onto your hat

and get ready for a wild ride!  in this action-packed 75-inute productio

Let 'Er Buck!® gives lovers of the Wild West a chance to get a taste of rodeo action the way it was before rodeos had big-name sponsors and performances were televised around the world.

The DVD spans the time period immediately following the Civil War to the mid-1930’s.  Using rare photos and film footage, Let ‘Er Buck!® takes the viewer back to turn-of-the-century cattle drives and Buffalo Bill’s Wild West Show.  It provides a front row seat at great contests such as Pendleton and Prescott.  Old-time photographs and action footage follow the evolution of rodeo events from their origin in the late 1800’s through the following 40 years – bronc riding, steer roping, bull-dogging and bull riding as it used to be.

Nominated for an Emmy award, the documentary also is available on VHS.  Take a trip back in time and join the legendary cowboys and cowgirls of yesteryear for a performance that will keep you on the edge of your seat!
